Medicon Valley Alliance has now started the process of linking European clusters to the Life Science Ambassador Programme. Within the EU project, ABC Europe, MVA is adapting the programme concept and architecture for European life science clusters, preparing them for future participation.
In 2009, the European Commission appointed MVA to develop and manage an ABC Europe sub-project that aims at developing a cluster ambassador concept across Europe. The objective is to adjust the Life Science Ambassador Programme for wider European participation by ensuring that it meets the requirements of life science clusters across Europe in terms of scale, resources needed, and deliverables.
ABC Europe is a three year EU-project launched 2009, which aims to reinforce active and structured partnerships between EU life science clusters and their companies. The overall goal of the project is to foster trans-national cooperation between life science clusters to further develop and improve the support to innovative SMEs and thereby strengthen their competitiveness.
